Our own Lorraine Saunders shows:
How Publicity can work for CFA!!
On
August 13, 2004... Colin Powell, the CFA COTY (Cat of the Year),
was honored to meet the Secretary of State (his namesake). Secretary
Colin Powell and Mrs. Powell (who asked for a kitten!) met Colin
the COTY, in the Treaty Room along with Pam DelaBar, CFA's new President
and Mr. Sig Hauck the breeder of Colin Powell. Also, in attendance
was Ron White, a photographer for CFA shows on the East Coast and
Eric Won who acted as CFA liaison (bringing press packets on behalf
of Lorraine Saunders, Sundew Persians). Lorraine prepared the press
kits, set up both the photo shoot for CFA with Mr. White and also
scheduled the United States Press Corp. to attend, through the Press
Secretary's office. As of now MSN.com is carrying over 31,199 links
to this event as this story was covered worldwide! And, on Google.com
over 81,000 links currently exist covering this newsworthy story.
The significance for CFA, in this electronic age, is priceless.
All search engines are showing a key link to CFA's web page for
this Bombay, our 2004 COTY's!. This means a great opportunity for
people all
over the world to discover CFA's website and learn about The Cat
Fanciers Association, Inc.. Further, there wascoverage on all major
television networks, radio, magazines and newspapers all over the
world. There's more! Washington is calling again... CFA is once
again a sponsor for the annual "Pet Night on Capitol Hill"
in mid-September. Pam DelaBar, Thomas Dent, Joan Miller, and several
other significant CFA legislative liaisons, will have a rare opportunity
to meet the House and Senate's dignitaries, their families and staff
members. CFA was able to arrange to display an oversized poster
of the Secretary of State with CFA's COTY next to pictures of these
dignitaries' family pets. Another great chance for CFA to meet our
country's leaders and lobby for CFA! Congratulations to all responsible
for bringing CFA to a new level of recognition and respect in the
world.
